I knew she was going to come today. From the way she avoided me throughout the day in school, I knew she was doing it for a reason.

She walked in and glanced around as if she was searching for something. She used her eyes to count the seats and soon settled into one of the seats. I watched her with keen eyes. She sat still for a few seconds before diving below the table.

I knew she would come looking for it. She soon rose back up and let out a deep breath. She continued to look around the place and the cleaner passed by her. She called her attention and seemed to have asked her about the pendant. The cleaner shook her head and walked away.

I dropped what I was cleaning and began to stride towards her. She returned to searching the place.

"Are you looking for something?" I asked her. She paused for a second before sitting up and staring into my eye.

"No," Came her quick reply. I continued to stare at her and she made no efforts to rise up or even look for the pendant.
