It was one hell of a dinner. I could not even breathe properly. Felt choked and thankfully, they had not questioned me. It was awfully quiet and the air has this feral energy. It must have been surprising that it did not have been cowering or wanting to leave early. His parents had uttered no word at me and as for his mom… she had pretended like she had not come to confront me days ago. Since that was the game she wanted to play, I will play along with her.

The dinner was finally over and Alec led me to the car, telling me he would be back as he stepped back into the pack house as he called it.

I waited patiently, leaning against the car as I glanced around the place. The pack looked modern; no one would have thought it was a pack house. I could have believed myself if I had not been told.
