Evander’s POV
I have never felt so much pain before, not even when mother died.
A surge of indescribable rage and grief engulfs me as I witness Liliana’s fall. Time seems to warp and it feels as if my reality begins to dilate, almost like I have the power to stop, change or prevent all this from happening. But I am no god. do not have the power to save her. And I hate myself for this.
Landing with feline grace, my agile frame withstands the impact effortlessly. The scene unfolds before me - chaos, fire, and screams echoing in the night. Aden's men, remnants of a cruel onslaught, are pursued by the relentless fury of my rogue companions.
