Alpha Kayden's POV

“What's the update?.”

I asked rather impatiently, one of the pack members shook his head, as if to say no progress had been made. He was one of the four werewolves I put in charge of the search party.

“I'm sorry Alpha, we've searched everywhere, we couldn't find anything.” I could see how he looked.

Sacred as if I was going to chip his head off for reporting what was clearly what I didn't want to hear. But I wasn't angry… for the first time in a long while, that wasn't the case.

“Keep searching.” I muttered rather softly. He and the rest nodded and left my office.

“I'm sorry.” My wolf spoke out softly… I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. “What thw fuck are you sorry for?.”

There was a brief silence and then it chuckled. “Don't act like I can't feel what you're feeling Kayden… it's obvious you miss her.. maybe not in the most profound ways.”

I walked towards the window and looked outside, it felt weird… turning my head, my eyes fell on the window
