Alpha Kayden

“Alpha.” One of the guards greeted, his head and eyes down and avoiding mine. Looking into the Alpha's eyes meant that he wanted a place deep inside one of the dungeons, but no one ever dared to do so.

“I need to see one of the prisoners.” I said, my voice steady and firm.

He nodded and signaled to the other guard who did the same. I could hear the noise as the different and heavy locks were being opened.

“This was my idea of how a prison should be, even without the locks, the thickness of the iron door already made it impossible to escape.

The doors creaked, and swung open and the first thing that greeted my nostrils was the stench. The unmistakable smell of death, already rot, and decomposing bodies.

I turned to them and nodded, signaling for them to go back to their positions. They nodded in obedience and walked back to their post.
