AURORA’S POV.

It was a Saturday, so I took a short nap after his deliciously fried scotch eggs. I woke up a few minutes later to extreme boredom. I picked up my phone to stare at it and realized it was just 55 minutes past 2. I would have settled for games on my phone or a movie, but I got tired of them, so I stepped out of bed to search for Jax.

He was nowhere in sight, so I headed for his room since I knew he had to be there. I placed a soft knock on it but heard no response from within. I noticed the door was slightly open, so I pushed it open and stepped in. The room was empty, and I found that weird because he didn’t say a word about wanting to leave the house.

I was about to leave when my eyes caught a black-and-white painting of what looked like a cat. Was it a rodent?

I couldn’t describe or explain it because it looked weird and beautiful yet funny.
