Chapter 124

Evelyn's POV

My heavy eyelids paved the way to a rather confined view, despite how much I widened them. It had become a mundanity every morning I awake, after my anticlimactic date with Luther three days ago.

I sat up on my bed. Shoving my bedding aside, I went to the bathroom. Did my morning routine and retired back to bed. That is how it has been every morning for the last few days too.

Nothing changed. Luther hasn't tried to come to see me, which means he was still really mad at me.

I barely left my room, even if it was certain Luther never brought anyone in on the discovery. If my instincts still function correctly, then I guess the incredible knowledge was just limited to myself and the two colluding brothers.

I spend the whole of my days in my room. I no longer see the kids often, except for sure they ask after me and are brought to see me. But they haven't since yesterday, and it bothered me.
