Chapter 127

Evelyn's POV

“Then should I get you water, my lady?” Merit came again, she was never going to get tired I guess. I ignored her yet again. She has been convincing me to eat something, but I wouldn't even respond to her.

She sighed and finally left. I laid my head on the dining table, looking at nothing in particular.

I felt empty. I felt dejected. My life became like a burden to me. I feel so sick and I don't know exactly what is wrong with me. Worse is nobody cares, or Luther doesn't care. He never came to see me, he doesn't ask after me. He hates me now. Even I hate myself.

My children were the only pillar I clung onto. Their love was enough to keep me alive and waiting for Luther's forgiveness. I'm sure the pack members hate me now, probably excluding my maids though.

I lifted myself wearily, dragging myself to the bed. I reached for my phone and stared at Luther's number, but a knock came on the door.

The person came in when I wouldn't respond, and my eyes almost popped out
