“ And I am telling you that you need to try those cookies. I will get them for you if you want. ” Sophia chimed excitedly.

I was regarding her with a bored look on my face. She had been talking for the past hour. Nonstop.

I wondered if she ever got tired or if she had an unlimited amount of energy—energy that I lacked these days because everything was just so…dull.

Izer had been busy for the last week and he only came home when he needed to sleep. Even then, he would simply take a bath, crawl into the bed behind me and tug me into his body.

That’s that. No teasing. No talking. No heated looks.
