Chapter Forty-Two

Olivia's POV

I was so confused. What could be going on here?

Is there an enemy in the Bain's Mansion?

I remained standing for some time before finally going into Alpha Kurt's chambers.

He was in his bedroom facing the window when I made my way into the room. I saw the new maid place the glass of drink on the table in front of her, not too far from the bed.

" your drink sir." She announced with a bow.

Oh, goddess! The drink was made for Alpha Kurt. But what did she sprinkle into it? Could it be the same poison used on his father?

" you can leave." Alpha Kurt said without looking back.

She bowed again and turned around to leave and as she swerved our eyes met.

She paused and looked at me as we stood face to face and her eyes seemed to glisten.

Then, she stared away and left the room.

I looked at the drink and didn't know what to do. Whatever it is, I have a bad feeling about the new maid and the drink.

Whatever she had spiked the drink with could not be safe for Alpha Kurt to consume.
