Hearing mum call out to me had different thoughts coming to my mind. Judging by the look on her face and how rigidly she carried herself back to the study she was coming from, there is no doubt it has something to do with Patrick and I.

Really, whatever she has to say, I am in no mood for it. My day has been going smoothly and it was almost surreal. I should have known it was too good to be true. Almost like it's an unlucky charm; the moment everything is going so well something or someone in the case of Patrick or my mum most times would ruin it for me.
