Chapter ninety four

Alessia's POV

The doctor who came to treat mum seem to enjoy putting people to sleep a whole lot. For two straight days, I haven't been able to talk to her. Everytime I go into her room, she is asleep. I just can't imagine how much pain she must have been experiencing for her to have indulged in the sleep so peacefully.

I got dressed for school quite early hoping to catch her awake. To my relief, she was awake and Cara stood by her side tending to her.

Mum smiled when she saw me. "Hey, baby."

I mirrored her expression. "I was just about to ask the doctor what the hell she injected you with."

She and Cara laughed lighlt, I know I can be loud sometimes. "come here, honey." She called out to me, nodding towards Cara to excuse us.

I sat next to her on the bed, leaning on the bed frame. My eyes lingered on her wounded part, and it had me filled with rage. Against nobody else but grandpa Gregory. It's his fault that my mum has to endure this pain.
