Chapter twenty nine

Collin's POV

I could feel the air tightening around my throat, the woods was misty with cold air. I tried to get a hold of my breath but it was a struggle, and right in front of me was my mother's wolf being thrown violently against a tree and a long sword digging into her belly. Yelling in horror, I woke up back to life sweating profusely and panting heavily. Looking around, it felt relieving to be in my room.

Was more taken aback by the pair of eyes staring down at me, I sat up hurriedly.

"It's okay Collin. It's just me." Annette said.

Taken in a long deep breath, i rested my upper body against the bed frame still trying to steady myself.

"You had a nightmare again?" She asked.

Everyone in the household knew of my persistent nightmares. Even if I did try to erase the memory of my mother's assassination the nightmares would always serve as a reminder.
