Chapter thirty seven

Collin's POV

I returned home feeling less motivated to do or feel anything. All the while as I rode in the taxi, I kept calling Alessia but she wasn't picking. It didn't feel like I said anything wrong, she just got it all mixed up.

Entering the house, Ester was seated in the living room knitting. I would never understand why she enjoys that task so much, it looks really boring to me.

"Hey there you." She called out to me, patting the empty side of the chair for me to seat in.

"Mum!" I responded sitting next to her.

Resting my head against the chair; I shut my eyes tightly trying to get the exhaustion away from my eyes.

"You look bothered. What's on your mind?" Mum asked not looking up from her knitting.

Still with my eyes closed I grinned, "how would you know something us wrong with me when I am not even looking at you."

"That is what they call mother instincts. So tell me what has gotten you so smug. Is it Alessia?"
