Max’s POV When I found out I had cause to deny DJ the Beta title I was overjoyed. My great-grandfather was a true believer in the moon goddess and her wisdom. Pack leaders, especially, were required to accept their true mates. The exceptions were if the mate rejected them for a chosen mate, if they impregnated another she-wolf (this had a whole different set of consequences), or if the mate's Alpha refused to release the mate to join our pack. Max’s POV Isaac has messed up DJ’s face pretty badly. He is alive and conscious, but bleeding.
