Patty’s POV

“Goodnight, Frank,” I shyly smile.

“Goodnight, baby,” he smiles back, and we hang up.

“Patrica Wallace why didn’t you tell him you love him too?” Renee is grinning as she scolds me.

I pull my knees to my chest as she sits on my bed.

“I’m not ready yet,” I say blushing.

Renee shakes her head. “You are so stubborn!”

I lay back down and fall to sleep with my sister next to me.

The morning brings training with Edward, Steven, Kass, and the Advanced Lycan Warriors.

“Patty, let’s see what ya got,” Kass says, motioning me over to a large male. “This is Jern; Jern, Patty Wallace. Stances.”

Jern smirks at me. “Loser buys dinner?”

“Winner gets to pick the place?” I add.

“It’s a date.”

We fight and he can’t keep up. He’s slow and depends too much on his strength. I get my legs wrapped around his torso and arms around his neck.

“Mercy,” he chokes out, as I tighten my grip.

“I like steak,” I smile at him.

“I’ll pick you up at 7.” He says, taking my hand and kissing it. It felt gross. I
