Franks’s POV

My instinct is to grab my mate and hold her close, to comfort her. But, she still doesn’t see me as her mate. I have to keep my distance in public.

“Let’s get this over with,” Dad says, calling order.

The elders already have the footage from the conference room, where it all went down.

Patty and I are forced to watch our mates make out with each other in front of the gathered assembly.

When I watch Alex slap Patty’s face, I want to bash his face in. I see Uncle G also stiffen, as if restraining himself. Alpha Patrick, his Beta Marcus, G’s Beta Alec, and all of her sisters look deadly.

Once the video is over, the Elders turn to Alex.

“What do you have to say for yourself?” The Elder asks.

Alex looks smug, “Susan and I have been in love for three years. We began having an affair before she was mated. Once she mated to my brother, I will admit she cooled on me. I would get a pity make out session, every now and again to appease me. But, she refused to have sex with me anymor
