Mates Against All Odds
Mates Against All Odds
Author: RALF

1- Sara and Shay.

This story starts 16 years after Blood Moon’s War ends and follows Liam and Claire’s eldest daughters. Liam and Claire’s story is The Wrong Mate available on GoodNovel.

Claire’s POV

“If we have to share a mate you better look presentable,” Shay spits as I walk in the room.

“I like this dress,” I watch Sara from the doorway. I need her to stand up for herself. Otherwise, I’m not allowing her to leave with Shay and whomever their mate is.

“It’s plain! You and I are not plain. We are stunning, other worldly, not plain.” Shay and Sara are in fact gorgeous, if I do say so myself. They are taller versions of me, strong tone bodies, blonde hair, olive complexion and Lavender colored eyes.

“It’s not plain it’s modest. I don’t want to show too much skin,” Sara tries to hold her ground.

“For goddess sakes we are meeting our mate today. Do you want him to reject you as pitiful?” Shay is dominating, and I have had enough.

“Shanka Wallace,” I bellow, and both girls look at me. “It wouldn’t kill you to look just a little modest today. No need for all the guests to know you have no secrets left.”

Shay looks down at the ground, so I turn to her twin.

“Sara, you can’t let her walk all over you. Stand up for yourself do you understand?” I brush a strand of hair out of Sara’s face.

“I will do better mom,”. She says turning back to Shay. “I am wearing this dress. You can wear whatever you want, but I am wearing this. End of the conversation.”

Sara stomps off. I look at Shay.

“You worry she might get rejected; you should worry about yourself. Shay the universe does pivot around a central point, but it’s not you. Do you hear me?”

“Yes mom,” Shay gets a look on her face I don’t trust. I know she is lying to me. She is going to ruin her sister's life if she can. How did I raise such a despicable she-wolf?

I make it to our kitchen where the hottest Alpha wolf in any universe is cooking breakfast for the army we made. I stand in the doorway drooling. He may be over 40 but he hasn’t let himself go; in fact, I think he is hotter now than he was at 21. So yummy.

“Ewww mom seriously, daddy is not a piece of meat, if a boy looked at me like that, you’d banish him,” Rona, 15, no filter, she and her twin Kate look like their dad more than me. Crazy tall, olive skin and eyes. Black curly hair, that Rona bleaches blonde while Kate keeps her dark.

“She is my mate I like when she drools,” Liam my mate wiggles his eyebrows at me.

“Still gross,” Beth, aged 11, she and Laura look like me. These two will hopefully not share one mate. They barely share a last name.

“Get over it, how do you think you all got here?” I ask going over to my mate who drops to his knees so I can kiss him.

“Ewwww” the twelve who are at the table sing together. “Stop.”

“Meet me in the pantry I need help getting breadcrumbs,” I whisper to him.

We have learned to be quick quiet and satisfied, we have had twenty years of practice. And what a twenty years it has been.

Now our girls are coming of age, one set of twins every eight months. Then my Alice, my first single born child. Lastly, my Patty. I’m the first to admit she is spoiled.

I was making my way to the pantry with my mate hot on my tail when the front door opened and well....

“Nic seriously, arriving alive is just as important as on time, and look we are early the party planners aren’t here,” my best friend and sister-in-law Grace, and brother-in-law Nic have arrived.

“I have to help set up the security, why can’t you lay off of me,” Nic begs.

“I don’t understand why you didn’t let me ride with Cullen and his family,” Grace drops her bag in my foyer. These two are the reason my children have anxiety about fated mates.

“Because you insulted Maple, AGAIN,” Nic yelled again.

“She was acting like she is Luna of Mountain Peak,” Grace hissed.

“Because you asked her to take on a duty, you can’t ask someone for help and then be angry they did a great job,” Nic counters.

Liam and I stand in the foyer waiting to see how long before they realize they have an audience.

“Just because she decided to pop out boys like PEZ and I decided not to have kids doesn’t make her better than me,” Grace tapped her foot.

“No one but you thinks it does!” Nic is now full-on yelling and the girls at the table have gathered to catch the show.

I see the boys have emerged this morning, fresh from training eating bananas, it’s like they are one person just cloned.

“Oh, please you have resented me ever since I said I didn’t want kids. You have been punishing me and punishing me. Throwing Edward in my face, my heir, my alpha heir,” Grace had to be overly dramatic of course.

Nic rolls his eyes. I dated Nic for two years. We never fought like this. It was comical.

“You wanna intervene? Beth is looking green,” I ask Liam.

“Hello dear brother,” Liam says, wrapping Nic in a bear hug.

“Grace, so good to see you,” I say, wrapping her in a hug.

“Can I hug Liam, it would be nice to hug a Wallace I actually can stand,” Grace spat.

“You can hug us Aunt Grace,” Issac and Samson wrap her in a bear hug.

Liam and Grace had dated for a year, then Liam and I were fated, Grace and Nic were fated, did I mention that technically I’m Liam and Nic’s adopted sister? Well, I am.

“Finally, some good Wallace boys,” Grace nestled into Ike and Sam.

“You know what,” Nic started, and Patty saved the day.

“Uncle Nicolas,” Patty, all of 8, screamed. Patty got red hair from somewhere and Mint green eyes. She has a round face and, at 8, has her Uncle Nic wrapped around her pinky finger.

“My little carrot top!” Nic smiles the brightest smile and swings my baby through the air. Granted my baby is 8 and 5 feet tall.

“Don’t hurt her, it’s not like there are 15 other Wallace girls, oh wait,” Grace rolls her eyes.

“Yes, yes we have a lot of girls,” I muse.

“Speaking of let’s get started,” Grace grabs her make up bag, notebook, and a garment bag. “Ladies to the master bedroom, we have work.”

“Pantry,” Liam whispers. “Boys show Uncle Nic the security plan.”

I scurry off to the pantry and Liam meets me there in moments.

“My sweet little Luna,” Liam pants as he lifts me up pulling my dress up. He presses me against the door as we kiss. I reach between us and push his pants down and guide him into my wet waiting core.

“Oh, my Alpha,” I pant as he thrusts inside me repeatedly.

“Oh, Pumpkin you are still so tight, I can’t believe it,” Liam licks my mark and sparks fly.

I squeeze my tights to keep up with his rhythm. I feel my climax building. Liam doesn’t play fair; he bites my mark, and I can’t help but scream. I feel him pump inside of me and he holds me there as he cleans up my mark.

“Liam Wallace, this was supposed to be quick and quiet,” I swat at his chest as we both catch our breath.

He says nothing only smirks and pumps into me a few more times.

“Don’t stop now,” I said rocking my hips against him. “We have already blown our cover.”

We kiss and I grab his ringlets and pull gently. He continues to slowly pump into me teasing me. He loves to tease. I squeeze my hips and grind as hard as I can.

“She is a hungry little Luna today,” Liam laughs at me. “Why does every time feel like the first time?”

“Because we love each other,” I look into his green eyes, and he pounds into me now.

Our cover is blown so we don’t attempt to be quiet anymore. I bite his mark this time, causing him to shake uncontrollably. Standing up, laying down, sideways, from the back, this man can have me anyway he wants.

Once we are done, we go our separate ways.

“Seriously, Claire,” Grace yells as I enter the room. “You two still go at like rabbits?”

“Yes, we love each other Grace,” I try to explain as I check on my girls.

Patty and Alice are excited because in my absence Aunt Grace allowed their nails to be painted to match their dresses.

“You look lovely,” I say. I check on all 16 of my girls. Finally getting to the birthday girls.

“See, just a little make-up,” Sara says finishing Shay’s makeup.

“Okay it’s not too bad,” Shay rolls her eyes. “Please wear the other dress.”

“No Shay.” Sara actually put her foot down.

“Fine!” Shay grabs a red lip stick and goes after Sara’s dress, but Sara grabs her arm.

“I said no,” I am trying to get between them.

“And I said yes,” Shay grabs with her free hand and rips the dress. “Now you have to change.”

“Why are you so mean?” Gina, the next eldest yells at Shay. Jessica, Gina’s twin comforts Sara who is crying.

“Get over it,” Shay rolls her eyes.

“You were not raised this way,” I say sternly. “She can wear what she wants.”

“She better hurry, she has to re-do all that makeup now that she has ruined it,” again Shay rolls her eyes.

“Damn you suck,” Kate says.

“Whatever jealous,” Shay said back. Shay walks out full of herself.

“I need to get ready for the party.” Sara says and starts fixing her make up.

I go find Liam looking completely sexy in his suit.

“Babe, we can’t let Shay and Sara leave with one mate,” I tell him.

“Pumpkin it’s not up to us,” he kisses my head. “Let the girls work this out.”

I’m unhappy!

Shame on Liam for not teaching Shay not to bully Sara and instead saying Sara has to stand up for her. He seems only to be interested in having sex with Claire and make her pregnant.
