Chapter Ten
"He said what?" I almost yelled in surprise and Grace gave me a puzzled look.
"I said he agreed to come with me to the fundraiser," she replied and I could see that she was confused by my reaction.
"Oh...oh good, I thought I heard the opposite of it. Silly me!" I gave her a nervous laugh and saved the awkward situation.
"I need to get a dress. I have nothing to wear," she whined while my mind was circling around Theo.
What was he playing at?
Why was he leading her on?
"Lu, are you even listening?" She waved her hand in front of my face and I finally looked at her.
"What?"
"I said, I need a dress. Are you all set for the evening?"
"Yeah, I'll just wear something. It's not like I have a date or something." I added and she gave me a small pout.

Once I was back home that evening, I started to rummage through my closet to find a perfect dress. I was not looking forward to this fundraiser in the beginning but now that I wasn't going alone, I wanted to look good and sexy.I finally settled on a silver floor-length gown that had a deep neckline. After taking a nice shower, I wore my dress and started to work on my makeup, keeping it subtle.I ran a comb through my hair and quickly pulled it to the side and tied it in a bun, leaving just a few strands of hair to frame my face. It was almost 7 pm and Dan would be here any minute now. I grabbed my clutch and slipped my feet inside a pair of silver high heels and rushed to the living room. At sharp 7 pm, I heard my doorbell go off. I took a few deep breaths and walked towards my door expecting to see Dan but it was Theo with his tie in his hand. He was looking annoyingly sexy as always in his three-piece tuxedo.

"Fuck!" I cursed under my breath and saw Grace panicking beside him. He stopped anyone that was trying to help him and walked away from the crowd that had gathered to witnesses the commotion."I think I should go help him. I'll be right back, Dan." I rushed out, picking the ends of my dress to walk faster."Sure. I'll be fine and remember what I told, Lucy." He called out to me as I walked towards Grace. Once I reached the dinning area, I saw her standing with a worried look on her face."What the hell happened and where did he even go?" I asked, completely unaware of what went down between them."I don't know, Lu. We were drinking and just talking. Then, I got a call and while I was busy on my phone, I heard a noise and that's when I turned around to find him with broken glass and his hands were all bleeding..." She started to sob and I rolled my eyes at her silly behavior.

"I'm here," Theo announced and walkedtowards her while I reminded hidden behind the bushes."Are you okay? Did Lucy find you?" she asked in an extra worried tone and I rolled my eyes at the way she was acting all innocent and caring."I'm okay and uhhh...I didn't see Lucy." He stammered a bit and I let out a small sigh. It was time for me to go home. I had enough drama for one night and I just wanted to get out of my clothes and sleep in my own bed.Once I was able to hear only muffled voices, I realized that they were walking away from me and I slowly came out of my hiding. I started to make my way towards my car and tried to hold back my sob. Everything was messed up and now I had no idea if he was going to end things with Grace.

The next morning, I woke up to find Theo's arms wrapped around me. We had fallen asleep cuddling each other in my bedroom and I let out a soft sigh, feeling giddy with happiness. It took everything in me to not jump his bones last night but it was way better than sex. We stayed up all night, talking and laughing about random crazy stuff and it was absolute bliss. I realized that it was Sunday which means we could just chill at home.Also, I had no idea if we were dating now or how this is going to work. I know he ended things with Grace but him, jumping into another relationship would hurt her so badly especially if she comes to know it is with me."What are you thinking about?" Once I was back home from shopping, it was around 3 noon. I was so damn tired and decided to take a short nap before the date. I sent him a quick text saying that I came home and didn't get a response immediately because I knew he was busy at the restaurant. We settled down at our seat at the corner of the restaurant which had a beautiful view of the seashore and our table was beautifully lit with candles.It was all so cheesy and romantic and I found myself loving it more and more with every passing second."I ordered for both of us already because I didn't want to waste a second with you." Once we reached my apartment, he didn't wait for me to even lock the door and pushed me against the nearest wall, taking my lips between his, kissing me with so much hunger. He started to rip my dress before I stopped him and removed the straps myself. He gave me a look, raising his eyebrows."What? It was expensive.""I'll buy you more expensive stuff." He mumbled, grabbing my ass, making me wrap my legs around his torso, and kicked the front door shut before moving towards my bedroom."Man, I can't wait anymore. I fucking need you right now." He groaned against my ears, throwing me on the bed, and started to remove his shirt. I balanced my weight on my elbows and watched him undress. I swallowed hard as his sexy torso came into view.He wasn't ripped or anything but to me, he was perfect and all I wanted to do was feel him under my skin and lick every inch of this amazing man right in front of me.
