Damien Yves Étienne's POVA small noise once I opened the door, the lights turning on after I turned the light switch; I was back at home. In a gentle manner, I took my long coat off, and placed it on the chair. "Hah.." I brushed my hair with my left hand, as I went towards the couch to lay down."A night without my princess… what a nightmare," I mumbled. The living room had a dim light that was warm to the eyes. On my hand, I had my phone, where I was glancing at, in hope that she would message me. I look like a pitiful puppy at this point.All of the sudden, my phone brightened, indicating a message. I hurriedly checked my phone, only to see… my father messaging me. "She's coming back," I read out the message he sent. I raised one of my eyebrows and tapped a contact's number to call.For a few seconds, it was left ringing, till it finally ended when they accepted the call. "I heard from my father that the venom is coming back. Is it true?" I asked. A chuckle went out from the call.
Milady Chapter 28: Phone call
Charlotte Hayes'"Is that so?" My mother said, looking at me with eyes filled with no emotions. My small heart was beating fast, as if I'm being chased by a beast. There was silence in the air, not until it was broken down the moment my mother yawned. Ophelia stretched her arms, and said in a sleepy voice, "Anyway! Let's leave the matter for another day. I'm quite tired."I nodded, and said as I scratched the back of my neck, "Okay mom. Good night…" My mother went towards the guest room, and before she could close the door shut, she bid me, "sweet dreams," with that innocent smile of hers.I immediately went to another separate room, and locked the doors shut. "I can't guarantee my safety even in my house.. gees.. the only place where safety is within is.. when he's there." All of the sudden, my face blushes red. I was embarrassed now that he's in my mind."I can't believe this.. what exactly have I said?" I slapped my cheeks. Now that he's on my mind, it's hard to get him out of it.

Charlotte Hayes' POVJake and I shared eye contact—one very awkward, that holds quite the pressure. I looked at him with eyes of mockery, and he looked back at me with irritated eyes.
