A tense silence filled the room. Amira, trying to process what she had just heard, whispered to herself in disbelief, "Karina's daughter is alive?" Noticing Aidan glancing at her, she quickly composed herself. "Aidan, explain this to me. Karina had a child?"

Aidan nodded. "Yes, a daughter."

Amira, struggling to maintain her footing, feigned concern. "How is she?"

"I donated blood for her, and she's stable for now," Aidan replied, his voice strained.

Cruzita huffed, her frustration boiling over. "You're being paranoid over someone who might not even be yours."

Aidan faced her, his expression hard. "I feel a strong bond with Sophie, even if I've only met her a few times. Whether she's mine or not, I'll still consider her like my own and won't tolerate anyone speaking ill of her."
