Chapter One Hundred - Four

As the sound of Lucas' car driving away filled the quiet living room, Anita rolled her eyes in a distressing manner. She then turned to face her mother and started whining, "I hope Sophie doesn't die."

Juliana appeared surprised, which shocked Anita. "Why do you say that?" Juliana asked, her voice tinged with confusion.

Anita huffed, adding, "I want Sophie alive because even if she dies now, Karina won't give up on her."

Juliana's brows wrinkled as she struggled to understand her daughter's words. "What do you mean?"

Anita sighed and indirectly said, "No family would easily give off their young dead daughter's healthy heart to save another child."

The realization hit Juliana. Anita managed to smile, placing a hand on her mother's shoulder. She said in a low, cold voice, "Karina is definitely not going to sign off her daughter's heart to save Lilly even if I cry my eyes out.
