Chapter sixty-seven

"Do we have to?" Ramanov pinched the bridge of his nose. A futile attempt to drive away his looming headache.

"Yes we do darling," she patted his hand in a motherly fashion before moving out of the packhouse.

The incident of me having treated him like a stranger and keeping the truth from him left him broken; my mate, I thought it was easy to spurn a mate bond.

He looked through the thick crowd, his hopes vanished fast, the further down the thick pile he went.

The locks clicked as she began to scream, shouting my name, I found myself hurrying towards her with all my wits.

"What happened here?" I asked as I perked around. The pain that swarmed my soul was worse than the physical pain I had experienced consuming every facet of myself until the memories and traits that made me began to drop like water.
