Chapter 6: Glaring Curiosity

My alarm blared so hard it took me great amount of self-control not to throw it across the room. My head was banging hard, I stretched out and put it off. I held my head for a while as I tightened my eyes shut. When the pain subsided I slowly opened by eyes and breathed in relief.

I looked at the clock, it was 10:00am. I gasped as I sluggishly got out of bed and did my chores. I had my bath and made breakfast. Pancakes and hot chocolate.

I had just barely begun eating when I heard a sound at my door. Then I remembered what I saw yesterday.

I tip-toed quietly to the window. There in the darkness, peering at me were a pair of green eyes and a figure silhouetted in the moonlight. I rubbed my eyes to make sure they weren’t playing pranks on me, then it was gone. I must have been hallucinating, I was really tired after all, yet the image was disturbing.

I heard the sound again outside my door again and I dropped the pancakes in my hand. I grabbed a bat and slowly tip-toed towards the door
