Chapter 6

I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as I sat in the car, wondering where he was taking me. The landscape outside the window blurred past as we drove deeper into the unknown. My heart raced with anticipation, the unknown path ahead casting a shadow of uncertainty over my thoughts. Questions flooded my mind: What was his intention? Was this a harmless adventure or a treacherous journey? Nevertheless, curiosity overpowered my fear, urging me to stay vigilant and embrace whatever lay ahead.

"Is everything alright?" His voice immediately caught my attention. I turned to look at him, and he gave me a strangely comforting smile.

"Yeah, I'm feeling quite nervous. A mere human walking into a den of wolves," I attempted to joke.

We have no intention of causing harm to any human beings whatsoever. It is one of our top laws. The unfortunate death of your parents should never have occurred," he said to me.
