Not too many people were invited to the reception. The music was playing softly and everyone was smiling, going from one corner to the other exchanging greetings and presenting their good wishes and gifts to the couple.

Luke was seating in the midst of the crowd.

It was an indoor reception, done under a very big beautiful canopy of flowers and decorative lights.

The evening air was cool, the bride and the groom stood in front, smiling animatedly with their arms intertwined, putting on a perfect show for the guests.

Lucinda crept up upon Luke like a vine, placing her hands on the back of his chair and proding her head into his face.

"Luca didn't invite our parents." She murmured in dismay.

Luke shrugged, crossing his legs and sipping from the cocktail in his hand. "They could have come themselves if they wanted to, I am sure they saw the announcement all over the news." He implied.
