Morrigan's eyes brimmed with tears as she emotionally told what happened to her and her family. Starting after she discovered her uncle's devious plans, then to the moment she realized she was unable to save them on time and had to run for her life due to what her mother wishes her to do. Then to what happened to Lydia and to what's bothering her now that the news of her missing had come across kingdoms. "You're afraid that once you get back your uncle will kill you to consolidate his power to the throne?" Aries inquired. Morrigan nodded her head slowly. Morrigan is busy toiling with the pouch that she had been embroidering. Frey hummed sweetly while doing Morrigan's hair. Morrigan abruptly halted her work thought of a reason so Frey won't bring her to the town. "Frey, I don't think this is a good idea." Morrigan turned her head towards Frey who is busy braiding one side of her hair. "Can I just stay behind as usual? I haven't finished the pouch I am embroidering, I can toil on it for the whole day." Every step to the courtroom felt heavy. With uncomfortable silence surrounding the crowd of guards and the three accused persons in the middle of the crowd. The way to the courtroom is agonizingly long. Aries' arms in a protective embrace on Morrigan's body, while Frey held her hands assuring the princess that everything will be alright. Though Morrigan had already composed herself and prepared to make herself known in the court she couldn't help but feel a slight discomfort by the idea. She had caught Mathias stealing glances towards her with a smile that seemed to do no good. She watches how the guards walked uniformly around them, ensuring that they cannot escape in any direction. After Morrigan left the courtroom the king heaved a sigh of relief, his back slumped on his throne. Cold sweats trickled on his forehead. He patted those sweats away with the back of his hand. Glaring at the prince who is standing in the middle of the courtroom, dumbfounded. Mathias looked at the already shut double doors. He started to pace in the middle of the courtroom, walking from one side to another, going around in circles. The king who watches his son intently could feel his head aching as he watches his son pacing around. He pinched the middle of his nose bridge and massages it. Thinking of the stupid mistake Mathias did and how the prince had offended the future queen of their neighboring kingdom. The black curtain of hair dances along with the salty breeze of the sea. Gazing softly at the locket on her hand, Morrigan watches how the light bounces off the dazzling jewels of her locket. She looked at the sky, but halfway she squinted as the blinding light of the sun hit her eyes. Covering her eyes with her hand she watches the birds and seagulls soaring the bright sky. Her eyes reflected a mixture of emotions, lost in deep thoughts. Morrigan had already prepared herself for what will happen next to her, however, the lurking worry in her heart never ceases. Worrying what will she see once she came back. She bit her lips and shook her head lightly. She brought her eyes back to the harbor below her. The echoes of drums reverberate all over the kingdom as the caravan which Morrigan is in enters the city gates of the capital of Hymir. The guards lining the gates bowed down as Morrigan's carriage make its entrance to the capital. People flock to the streets, waving their hands and handkerchiefs. Cheering for the arrival of their beloved princess. Petals of different colors rained from the skies. Everyone took their chances to have a glimpse of the princess. Choosing a place where one could watch the entourage in its greatest views. The children that usually run the streets are all on the back of the neck of their fathers or in the arms of their mothers, waving their small hands to the entourage. Morrigan lifted the curtain that separates her from the crowd waiting for her in the streets. Watching the people who had their bright smiles plastered to their faces. All overflowing with anticipation to witness the day when the princess who they missed dearly

The loud and amused chuckle of the Prince Regent echoed around the courtroom as he look at Mathias. He put both his hands on his back as a lopsided smile flashed on his face. He slowly steps down the stairs, shaking his head in amusement. After a brief conversation with Mathias, he found out what Mathias truly wanted, and that he seemed to be a perfect pawn for his plans. "It seems like you had piqued my interest." He patted Mathias' shoulder, a hair-rising smile plastered on his lips. Mathias could already found the similarities between Morrigan and the Prince Regent. Both of them have an icy air of superiority around them, however, the Prince Regent is more cunning and conniving than Morrigan. Morrigan's room is busier than usual, with maids going in and out of her room. Butlers delivering messages and gifts from envoys of other kingdoms, and guards informing her of the guests that are waiting for her at the hall. She could feel her head aching as the flow of people in her room already confuses her. Not sure of what will be her priority at that moment. Early in the morning, countless guards and maids had already knocked on her doorway that she decided to leave it open and let the divider be her only hiding place when one person come inside her room. Servants surround Morrigan as they help her get herself ready for the ball tonight. She looks at her reflection while her arms are lifted in the air as the servant behind her tightens her corset. "Why are there more guards than usual?" Morrigan noticed how the hall is not just packed with envoys and aristocrats waiting for her but every corner and most of the hall there stood guards standing straight and even inspecting all guests coming in from every direction. Checking the pockets of every man, maids inspecting the women dressed and fancy garbs. Even the garden is packed with guards on alert and patrolling non-stop. Watching the guests that get in and out of the hall. "The security is even more strict than before," she commented, as she observe the hall from above. Noticing the difference in the security from the usual gathering she had attended when her father was still the king.
