Elsida woke up with a gasp, her night dress damp with perspiration. her eyes roamed the room as she panted breathlessly, her heart thudded wildly in her chest as memories of her mouth ricocheted through her mind.

Her hands started to tremble and she clenched her fists to calm them.

She let out a heavy sigh of relief when she realized Julien was nowhere to be found and made her way to the bathroom.

Her flashbacks usually resurfaced in her dreams but she had not dreamt of her mother in years, to say she was rattled would be an understatement.

She quickly splashed her face and left the bathroom, stopping in her tracks when her gaze collided with a muscled sweaty torso.

“My eyes are up here El,” Julien drawled as a chuckle escaped his lips.

“It’s not every day I’m greeted with the sight of sweaty bodies, I’m just disturbed,” Elsida said, scrunching her nose to imitate disgust.
