Chapter 3

One month before the wedding started, Alex was increasingly busy taking care of his wedding, he came home very late and they hardly spent time together as usual, of course, this made Olivia feel like she had lost Alex by her side. But she still didn't have a choice to get away from the CEO.

Articles and pictures of Alex and Carol's affection were increasingly seen on social media, making Olivia feel a little jealous, they even looked happy when the paparazzi took pictures of them kissing.

Olivia increasingly felt that she was just a bitch, she was just a mistress even though she was the first girl who came into Alex's life.

That day was Saturday, Alex was supposed to be at home and they were spending time together, but lately Alex hasn't been home every weekend. Of course, he spent time with Carol.

But at that time, Alex came home earlier than usual, he came home before dinner, just when Olivia was busy cooking in the kitchen.

"I'm home, hmm it smells really good, what are you cooking?" Alex said, he approached Olivia and hugged her from behind, giving her a passionate kiss on her head.

"Just pasta, I didn't know you'd be home early so I just made pasta for me," Olivia said.

"It's okay, I'm not hungry, and I have something for you," Alex said.

"What's that?" Olivia said.

“Next week we're going to Los Angeles,” Alex said.

"But why? I mean, why Los Angeles?” Olivia said.

"I don't know, Carol ordered the tickets, she said she wanted to go on holiday together," Alex said and Olivia tried to restrain herself, she turned off the stove and tried to push Alex's body away from her.

"What is it?" Alex said.

“That was your holiday with her, why did you take me there? I'd better stay here," Olivia said.

"I asked you to come with me, of course, she doesn't know about this but—-"

“Enough Alex! Don't drag me into the problems between you two or whatever it is about you and her, I'm sick of hearing all this," Olivia said.

“Hey baby, why are you this angry? We can have fun there and-"

“Having fun you say? You'll just spend all your time there making out with that damn girl! and why do you say we will have fun? damn you!" Olivia said, she pushed Alex's body and left there but Alex chased her.

"Oh come on Olivia, my relationship with her is not the same as ours!" Alex said.

“Of course! your relationship with her is real! not like us! we never exists Alex! I only serve you like a slave because I have no other choice! I'm trapped here! in this damn contract!” Olivia said with tears on her cheeks.

"So you think our relationship doesn't exist? then why do you want to sleep with me? why do you want to kiss me? Why would you do everything other couples do if this relationship was never there for you? huh?” Alex said.

"I don't even know the reason why you want to do all that to me, but now that I think about it, I don't need to know the reason, because maybe this is just something other couple do for you," Olivia said.

“Baby—”

“Stop calling me baby! because I'm not your baby, Alex!" Olivia said.

“You will get married soon and our relationship will end soon!” Olivia said.

“Not again Olivia! To hell with that contract! Should I stop holding back so you can shut your mouth and stop talking about that contract!" Alex said his anger at that moment surprising Olivia.

“Once again you talk about that contract or this relationship! You will regret it, trust me!” Alex said and just walked past her, he went into the room and slammed the door making Olivia flinch and couldn't hold back her tears any longer.

•••

That day was the worst day for Olivia, she had to sit in first class, along with Alex and Carol. No one recognized her apart from the flight attendant there because she always covered her face with glasses and a mask.

They took a night flight to Los Angeles. Maybe some of the passengers were already asleep, but not Olivia, she just read her book before deciding to go to the toilet.

But it seemed like someone was in the toilet because the door was locked and she could see the red sign on the door. Olivia didn't wait long when a girl came out of the toilet while straightening her clothes, surprising Olivia. It was Carol and right behind her, she saw Alex who had just straightened his trousers and looked at her in surprise.

Carol just passed Olivia, maybe because the dim light made Carol not realize who was in front of her, she returned to her seat but not Alex.

“Olivia, why aren't you asleep yet?” Alex said but Olivia didn't answer her question, she just clenched her hands into fists and tried not to cry, she tried to hold back her emotions.

"Hey baby, what's up?" Alex immediately pulled her into the toilet so no one would see them.

"I hate this," Olivia said, her voice cracking.

"I didn't do anything with her, we just-"

“Stop! I don't want to know what you two are doing, she's going to be your wife, and you're going to get married so yeah…you can do anything and anywhere," Olivia said.

"Look at me," Alex said as Olivia lowered her head, he brought her face back up to his.

"I didn't do anything with her, trust me," Alex said and Olivia was silent before Alex kissed her, maybe she could feel that Olivia's lips were shaking a little because she was holding back her emotions.

It still clearly felt like those lips were no longer hers, but Olivia didn't avoid Alex, she let Alex have her lips like they usually did.

"I love this," Alex said as he broke the kiss and looked at Olivia while cupping her cheek.

"Did you like it?" Alex said and Olivia didn't answer.

“Hey baby, do you like it?” Alex said.

“Y…Yes..” Olivia said and Alex smiled at her.

"I have to go back to my seat before she realizes that I'm not there, I will come to your room, you don't need to worry, we will always sleep together," Alex said and Olivia just nodded before Alex gave her one last kiss and left the toilet.

Olivia's chest felt tight at that moment, why did everything feel wrong even though there was nothing right about their relationship?

••

Arriving at the hotel, Olivia immediately fell on the bed, she just cried thinking about her fate, her life was ruined because she was trapped by her feelings and it was very painful for her.

Olivia didn't come out of her hotel room, she saw several messages that Alex sent her but she chose not to reply. Olivia just enjoyed her stupidity from her bedroom balcony with a cup of coffee.

The phone rang, it must be Alex, Olivia just turned to her bed where she put the phone. But she was fed up with Alex, those 3 years were very happy before Carol came between them.

She ignored dozens of calls from Alex until a bell rang, startling her. Olivia didn't feel like ordering something from the room service.

"Who is there?" Olivia said but there was no answer, she opened the door and Alex was there, she immediately pushed Olivia in and closed the door behind her.

"Why don't you answer my phone?" Alex said.

"I-"

"What are you doing? huh?” Alex said.

"What are you doing here?" Olivia said.

"Damn you, you always know how to worry me," Alex said.

“Did you leave her?” Olivia said.

"Yeah, she must be really angry right now, but I don't care," Alex said.

"Why don't you care if she's mad at you?" Olivia said.

“What answer do you want to hear?” Alex said as he approached Olivia and stood very close in front of her.

"I'm fine, you can go back with her," Olivia said.

"After you made me worry, you just kicked me out?" Alex said and Olivia grabbed Alex's shirt gripping it tightly.

“Yeah, you can go,” Olivia said.

"I still have an hour with you, I said I have an important meeting with someone," Alex said.

“Am I important to you?” Olivia said.

“You're my girlfriend,” Alex said.

“Can I have my kiss?” Olivia said.

"Sure," Alex cupped Olivia's cheek before kissing her, even just hearing those words from Alex was enough to make Olivia calm down.

“I love this,” Olivia said.

"Me too," Alex said and continued to kiss Olivia hotly, they made out as if they were letting go of their longing.

But an hour passed very quickly, Olivia was still in Alex's lap when the CEO looked at his watch.

“I have to get back there,” Alex said.

"Oh okay," Olivia just wanted to get up from his lap but Alex held her back.

"What is it?" Olivia said.

"I'll leave my credit card, buy the prettiest dress you see, buy jewelry, and wear it tonight, I want to see you in it all," Alex said.

"But why?" Olivia said.

“Because I want it,” Alex said.

"Okay," Olivia said before Alex pecked her lips.

Alex just left after leaving his credit card on the bed. Maybe there's no difference between Olivia and a prostitute, but whatever it is, she just wants her mother to get better and the contract to end soon.
