Chapter 94

Amara's POV:

It was already evening when I awoke from my afternoon nap. I had been feeling sore, coupled with the fact that I was sad about Darlington's hesitation between me and Jenna Colton.

When I looked into Darlington's eyes, I could tell that he wants me, but when I ask him, he says something different from what his eyes express.

I thought about calling my father to tell him that Darlington and I didn't work out. I didn't want to stay in the city until Jenna is back, as I do not wish to see her and Darlington acting lovey-dovey. I had seen their photos together, and although it was in the past, the memory of it still irritated me.

Carefully sliding out of the bed that I had been sleeping in since morning, I felt weak. I had only managed to have my breakfast in the morning, after Darlington left for work, as one of their maids brought me something to eat.
