Chapter 4

Cassandra’s POV

The drug test result has arrived and it turned out negative. Of course, it's negative! Because I have never used any illegal drugs before.

The police will not arrest me anymore because of the negative result of the drug test, but the investigation is still ongoing. A drug has been found in my place, so the police said that there is still a possibility that I’m involved in this. They say that I might be a drug dealer or something. What the hell? These people are crazy!

I’m here at my home alone. I opened my TV and watched the news. My agency has released a statement to the media about my scandal. It was broadcasted that my drug test result is negative but there is still an ongoing investigation about the issue.

I don't think that statement completely cleared my name. I opened my phone and scrolled into social media. I read some of the comments from the statement that my agency has released.

“That doesn't mean she's innocent”

“But the drugs were found in her home, maybe she's a drug dealer”

“Her good image is damaged”

“You guys are so judgemental! You don't know the whole story! You keep speaking nonsense. I’ve been Cassandra’s fan for so long and I believe in her”

All the pain that I felt from all of the bad comments that I’ve read is now washed out. That one comment made my day. I’m happy that there are still people who believe in me.

I heard a doorbell and I went to the door to open it. I see Trevor standing handsomely in front of me.

“Trevor! What brings you here?”

I asked him. He didn’t inform me beforehand that he’s going to visit me.

“Come in”

I said. He enters my house and I let him sit on my couch.

“I brought you your favorite fast food”

Wow! Trevor brought me food! Inside the bag are a burger, fries, and fried chicken. He really knows my favorite.

“Thank you so much, Trevor!”

We ate the food and we talked about work and some other things.

“How are you, Cassy?”

He asked me. I can see the concern in his eyes.

“I'm Okay Trevor, Don't worry about me”

I replied. The food is so delicious.

“I know you're not okay, you can tell me anything”

Damn! This guy knows me. I looked into his eyes and I started to cry.

“I’m not okay! I’m so sad! I don't know what to do anymore! My career is over! It's over!”

I said while crying in his arms. He hugged me tightly.

“It’s not over Cassy! I will help you”

He said. I stopped crying and I lifted my face from his shoulder to furtherly listen to him.

“No Trevor! You have done so much for me, I can't accept any more help from you”

I explained to him. He has been helping me ever since! He's such a good friend but.... I don't want to take advantage of his kindness.

“I cannot stand seeing you like this Cassy! Please let me help you this time”

I can see the sincerity in his eyes. Damn those beautiful eyes! He’s so pure. How can I refuse when he’s looking at me like that?

“Okay! But what are we gonna do?”

I asked him. Maybe I really need some help, I can't do this alone.

“I have a copy of a script here of a new upcoming drama”

He brought out some documents from his bag. It's a script damn! He got connections. How did he get that?

I read the script. The title of the drama is.

“My Lady Boss”. The Lead actress is a CEO of a Big company. Wow! I like this role.

“This is a beautiful script Trevor”

I told him. He smiled at me.

“Yes it is! There will be an audition for that role in 2 months and I want you to audition. I know you can make it! I believe in you”

He explained. In 2 months? But I don't know anything about being a CEO.

“Trevor, I’m not confident about it! I have no experience with this kind of role”

I said. This project is so good and huge, I don't know if I can make it.

“I will help you with that”

He said. Here he comes again with some help. How can he be so kind?

“ My cousin is the CEO of a big company and he is hiring a new Secretary. Why don't you apply for him, while you wait for the audition? This will help you gain experience in the field of business. Observe everything in there and apply it to your acting ”

Trevor suggested. What a nice Idea. Right! My acting skills will be better if I work in a real environment of business.

“That’s a good idea Trevor! Oh my gosh you are the best!”

I hugged him. I am so happy. I am so blessed with a good friend.

Trevor made some phone calls. I assumed that he called his CEO Cousin. I wonder what he looks like, maybe he looks like Trevor. Their conversation ended and Trevor came back to his seat next to me.

“I’ve talked to my cousin, and he said that you should go to his office tomorrow morning at exactly 10. You must know that he is very strict”

Trevor said and I began to feel nervous. Strict? I hope I can handle that.

“Thank you so much, Trevor! I don't know how to repay your kindness! “

I sincerely thanked him with all my heart! If it wasn't for him I would be feeling so down now.

“Seeing you happy is enough for me Cassandra”

He said while smiling sweetly at me. I hugged him once more.

Trevor left my house early because he has a photoshoot schedule for his upcoming drama. He is so successful. I have a little secret to tell, I have had a crush on Trevor for so long now. But it's just a crush, I know he only sees me like his little sister.
