Mark pulled over in front of an hotel where numerous cars were parked. Throughout the ride to the hotel, they said no word to each other and Lucy kept her gaze fixed outside the window.

She had no choice but to dress up and go with him to this damn meeting.

He stepped out of the car and scurried to her side. He pulled the door open and stretched out his hands. Lucy stared at his hand, then at him and then hissed loudly and looked away, folding her hands across her chest and refusing to step out.
