Chapter 49 Not At Ease

Lewis was indeed unsure whether Judy was okay or not.

She didn't get a check-up either.

It was such a serious car accident that, more or less, she must have gotten bumped or bruised.

Lewis had no idea why Judy refused to get checked. Could it be that she was worried about the expense?

Lewis sent Louis away, and finally, there was silence around him.

That night, Lewis slept fairly well. He had the housekeeper change the home fragrance to mint, which has a calming effect.

The next day.

Lewis got up to have breakfast downstairs; he wasn't planning to go to the office today.

Lewis was wearing clothes Judy had bought for him, which the housekeeper had washed and dried the night before.

"Sir, your milk is heated up," Mia brought over the milk and asked, "Miss hasn't gotten up yet, should I call her?"

Whenever Lewis was home, Susan would get up very early and hover around in front of Lewis. It was already past eight, and she hadn't gotten up.
