Get Out!

I turned around to see the person but was relieved it was just one of the junior nurses on duty. Why did he sound like Joe just now? Was it because of my guilt?

"It's not what you think, Nurse Kim. We were talking about his wife not being here"

I was still trying to explain to the nurse when those two men started talking. I cleared my throat to gain their attention all to no avail. My head was filled with the possibility of a new rumor.

"I just wanted to check on Mr. Jason because..." Nurse Kim was saying to me with a fake smile on his face. Did he really or was he among the gossipers?

"Get out!" Jason said suddenly, making the nurse shake in fright.

Without saying another word, Nurse Kim scrambled out of the ward. Wasn't that too much? Why was he sounding scary to everyone?

"Wife?" He asked, frowning as soon as the nurse left.

"It's not a secret any more," Alex said, his words almost looking like a murmur.
