She Was Just A Pawn

Summer’s POV

I twirled the glass cup in my hands worriedly. Staring at the wall In front of me, I could remember our agreement years ago. I was a child but it was still fresh in my head. Even if I had wanted to forget it, Aunt Kaitlyn and her husband won't stop reminding me of who I am.

That agreement had changed my life, I had not expected it and it was a life changer for me. I thank my stars everyday for meeting someone like her.

It was not easy in the slum. I woke up everyday with no food or shelter. I had to fend for myself either by stealing or doing anything illegal. The orphanage that I was put in cared little for us. But was it their fault?

It was the fault of our parents who either died when they weren't supposed to or left us to the cruel hands of the world.

At first when I left the orphanage, I had thought I found wealthy parents and I was happy until I was told that I was going to become another person.
