Luke and Vera laid there in silence as they watched the stars.
Luke was just soaking it up how it felt to have Vera pressed up against his side.
He thought it felt magical.
Nothing could beat this moment.
Nothing could ruin this moment.
Luke was going to remember this moment for the rest of his life.
Vera was that comfortable that she felt herself falling asleep.
She never dreamed of laying next to a guy.
After what happened to Vera, she thought she wouldn’t be able to get close to a guy before.
But Luke, he didn’t play very fair.
He wouldn’t leave her alone until she trusted him.
Even with trusting Luke, she still couldn’t imagine lying next to a man.
Though the sudden shrill of Luke’s phone frightened Vera, making her swiftly sit up and scoot over a slight bit.
She looked over to Luke to see him frowning.
