Kat's POV

So we're leaving. I mean to say, bailing out.

It's one in the early morning and I'm with my family jammed in a truck. The winds smacked our faces wildly as we moved on full speed, going out of Yakima somewhere only my father knew.

When we boarded the truck at ten in the night after having a quick supper to get away to avoid fatal consequences, I felt my vision overlapping with tears. I didn't think one day I would have to run away from my house like this.

Thanks to my father. All the credits go to him. My father, the disgusting alpha, made a promise— that I believe he shouldn't have if he didn't have the balls to fulfill it— and he made it so truthfully that the mafia boss that both intimidated and intoxicated me with his presence and features was convinced that my father would follow through with it.
