Kathrine's POV

I shivered with a bone-rattling wave of horror crawling up my spine. I held the blanket right to my chest and attempted to keep sobs from spilling from my mouth.

"I didn't see you. Nobody did, alright." The tall mafia King spoke with a hiss.

I looked down and closed my eyes, letting the rivulets of sorrow trail down my cheeks. It's not like I am unseen or untouched. My body has endured assaults I wouldn't want to go through them again. I've roamed bottom naked in my room not too long ago with men looking at me closely.

However, having been seen like this by men other than I knew tormented my insides. I pressed my lips together but the sobs still spilled.

"You fainted, alright. I just carried you after your shift and put you on the bed." He said, and this time he blew out a heavy breath and rolled his eyes.

I took a peek from between my fingers that I had covered my face with, and noticed his face was red. Not with anger but more with embarrassment.
