Kathrine's POV
Not that I was eager to go back to the hell my parents built for me from a young age. I just... It's just that I was worried for a few people. I should be blatant. I was only worried for one person and that is Beverly.
Thoughts of her turned my vision misty. I resisted the threatening tears and pursed my lips. Since I was so mad at her, I didn't talk to her the whole day on my birthday. She had expressed she wanted to spend time with me and help me get ready. I refused and asked my guards to not let her in.
As I think of her now, my heart throbs with a dull ache. I hope she's safe there! Not getting assaulted again by Aaren. And I truly pray that my father hasn't offered her as my replacement to Babbiani.
