Chapter 45 - Prized Woman

The car was dark but Matthew could sense the apprehension coming from Kirsten. He leaned and said in a low voice. “If you aren’t ready to conceive yet, I won’t force you.”

Kirsten was still young and he was not in a hurry to have a child. They have to strengthen their bond before welcoming a child together.

Significantly, Kirsten's highly strung body relaxed in his arms. “Thank you, Matthew.”

When they came back home after a two week holiday in Norway, Kirsten was occupied with many cases while Matthew was expanding overseas and was always on business trips. She and Matthew barely spent time together except during the nights when sleeping together. This went on for nearly two months.

One evening after a tiring work, as Kirsten was dragging her exhausted body into the penthouse, Matthew was rushing towards her.

Kirsten was taken aback at the urgency in his face.

“Something’s wrong?” She grabbed Matthew’s wrist to stop him.

“I have to go for a business trip,” Matthew kissed
