Chapter 48 - Dark Talon of a Greedy Woman

“Good morning, my love,” Kirsten heard Matthew’s voice when she opened her eyes in the morning. Mesmerized by the handsome man standing near the foot of the bed, she stared at him without blinking her eyes. 

Finding her reaction adorable, Matthew could not hold back his laughter which snapped back Kirsten into reality. 

“Are you not going to your office?” Kirsten asked when Matthew sat beside her and surrounded her with his pair of powerful arms. 

“You still have two days left of your leave of absence and I’m going to stay with you.” For the previous months they barely had time with each other. He realized that he had neglected her, just because she wasn’t complaining doesn’t mean that he could go on
