Nervous

I was nervous. I can't tell the number of times I changed my outfit. This was the night they would introduce me to the pack as a mate, not a sister. The thoughts of what the pack might say when I got introduced scared me.

I checked my reflection in the mirror. This was the tenth outfit I'd changed into in the space of an hour. I was nervous. The turquoise blue gown brought out my curves. It was a knee-length body-con strapless gown, with a heart shape on my lower back. I knew none of them would allow me to walk out there in such a dress, so I had my coat on standby. I plaited my hair in a braid, leaving the tip to dangle on my waist.

“Goddess, I need your help,” I muttered, staring into the mirror at the woman looking at me from the other side.

Unlike the time Father introduced me to the pack, I wanted to burrow into the ground and wait it out. I had never felt half as nervous as I did at that moment.

“Darling, are you ready?” Mitch questioned as he knocked on the door.
