Chapter 4

All he did was continue to watch her badly beaten by Quincy, unable to do anything even if he felt like he should snap his head out of his neck. He twisted his hands into a wrecking ball, gritting his teeth in fury. It was the moment for him to prove his love, but he couldn’t. The person beating up the love of his life was an Alpha, and he was just his Beta. How could he have control over him?

His heart ached when his gaze met Elena’s. Seeing her weep makes his wolf dangled angrily inside of him. Yet, he needed to control himself from letting his wolf take over.

He took some steps forward to where Quincy was and tried calling his name, but the brutal man didn’t spare him a glance instead Luna’s beating increased. “Stop it, Quincy!” Andrew growled at his Alpha and at that point, he earned a glance from Quincy at how disrespectful he had acted. “Enough, Quincy, you’re going to hurt her,” he warned, trying to create peaceful air in the room but it only angered the Alpha.

“I dare you to stop me again!” Quincy sneered with an outstanding command tone that Andrew couldn’t dare to challenge.

Quincy continued to hit Elena while she fought beneath him with all her strength. In her inner mind, she wished Andrew would try his best to stop the Alpha, but when she looked across the room where he was standing, her heart broke seeing him just watching her get beaten up. “I thought he said he loves me?” she pondered to herself, gazing at Andrew, who kept gawking solemnly at her. “Do something!” she screamed inside of her when she began to feel weak, and incompetent to fight the Alpha any longer.

Her face dropped when Andrew still didn’t make a move. She felt disgusted knowing she had fallen in love with someone who had the same feathers as her mate.

A sharp pain notches her heart when Andrew begins to give her an eye signal that she shouldn’t give up and continue to fight. He was supposed to help her fight Quincy, yet he was telling her to fight back. His behavior made her lose hope and give in to Quincy, who was still beating her up. She was sickened that the man she had come to love was watching her being beaten up.

Meanwhile, Andrew was scared that it might not end up well if he decided to interrupt. He knew how aggressive Quincy was and he can go beyond what he was doing. At that moment, he decided to leave since Elena refused to fight back. He fears he won’t take it anymore and starts a war between himself and the Alpha.

Just when Andrew turned around to leave, Quincy’s voice stopped him. “Plan to run away again?” he demanded from Elena.

She said nothing, and it made Quincy more mad. He pulled on her long hair and Elena winced in pain, holding onto her head.

“You’re hurting her!” Andrew snapped when he couldn’t take it anymore.

“That’s what I intend to do,” Quincy told him, and went on to hit Elena in her face. She groaned and spat her blood from her mouth.

“You need to stop, Quincy I beg you,” Andrew pleaded this time when he felt it was what he should do.

Quincy gave him one more stare and yelled at him. “Don’t beg me! Do you know what she planned to do? She planned to run away from me, from her mate and you think I should forgive her? Never! I will show her what it takes to deceive me!” Quincy growled. Still holding tight to Elena’s hair, he raised her from the ground and made her go on her knees before him. “Beg me!” he ordered, but Elena still said nothing and continued to whimper. Quincy let out a peal of devious laughter and turned to Andrew. “Can you see? She wouldn’t apologize even after she did the wrong thing.”

“How do you expect her to say a word when you keep beating her?” Andrew inquired, taking a few strides toward them.

“I can see you’re in support of her running away from me, right?” Quincy proclaimed, giving Andrew a stern look.

“I just feel you’re taking things too far,” he answered. He was trying his very best to confuse Quincy to let Elena go. He couldn’t believe why Quincy was so ruthless and heartless. Ever since he had found his mate, Elena, he had always made life a living hell for her. He had never for once given any breathing space for the poor lady and Andrew had grown a lot of hatred for him. He had fallen for Elena at Quincy’s back and Elena had also done the same. However, there was nothing they could do. Most times, he thought of getting rid of Quincy and having Elena to himself yet, he knew it wouldn’t happen. Quincy was a strong Alpha and to defeat means a lot. He wasn’t someone who could be easily conquered because of the mighty power he possessed.

But Quincy used his powers the wrong way. He was a self-centered person who ruled his pack brutally and never cared about anyone’s feelings. His things are always vicious and he was so fierce.

“I said, beg me!” Quincy snapped, and threw Elena a kick at the side of her stomach and she went staggering to the ground.

Her eyes met with that of Andrew again and made a pleading expression for him to come to her aid. She was in pain and she needed his help desperately. She knew he couldn’t do anything, but she at least needed him to stop the beating.

“She’s sorry,” Andrew pleaded on her behalf.

“Why? I want her to say it herself!” Quincy snarled and with another angry kick, he sent her flying across the room with massive strength.

Her body hit the wall and the next thing they heard was her tiny scream that faded away in seconds as her body went flaunting to the ground.
