Chapter 46: Hot Chocolate

I recounted some of the stories Silas had shared, the experiences he had gained throughout his long life. We talked about how love could be both a source of strength and a driving force for change. It was a heartwarming discussion, one that reminded us of the importance of the love we shared and how it had enriched our lives.

Elisa, her eyes filled with affection, reached across the table and placed her hand on mine. "Lucian, I feel blessed to have you in my life, and I'm grateful for the love we share. You've changed my life in the most wonderful ways."

I covered her hand with mine, returning the sentiment. "And I'm equally blessed to have you, Elisa. You've brought light and love into my world, and I can't imagine a future without you by my side."

Rafi, who had been listening intently to our conversation, chimed in with childlike innocence, "You and Aunt Elisa make a good team, Uncle Lucian."

I chuckled, my heart warmed by his words. "Indeed, Rafi. We make a great team."
