I was now dressed in the traditional werewolf Alpha attire. To be honest, it was very revealing. The top was some sort of black one-arm tank top that covered the top half of my abdomen. It was decorated with the ancient pack logo in gold and a few floral golden designs as well. It had a string of cloth that went around my body and connected to my pants. The pants were white and huge, it was like a skirt on each leg and they were very low set. They covered my shoes which were a very simple sock-like and surprisingly comfortable fit.On top of the whole fit was a huge robe that covered part of my arms. The inside of the robe was black and decorated with golden floral patterns and the outside was white and faded into black at the bottom. This attire has been passed from the very first Alpha of Midnight Summit who was my grandfather up until now. Every pack Alpha has to wear it during the tournament to respect tradition. I’m glad mine isn’t the worst looking at least.“Xavier, remember wh
XANDER’S P.O.VI stepped out of the car and onto the disgusting American road. The air reeked of poor diet and Gen Z. Birds were flying around pissing in the air and the sun was shining directly in my friggin eyes. I hate this place.“Heunace, umbrella!” I said and my beta brought an umbrella to my side. I walked out of the airport and into the Lamborghini waiting outside for me.‘This man looks crazy powerful but why is he in a lime-colored suit?.’ said the chauffeur’s thoughts. I smiled to myself. I am indeed powerful. Many people question my choice of clothing but I see no problem with it. I just find colors exciting. The only reason I’m in this dastardly country is because of that good-for-nothing Alpha Xavier. I’m supposed to have a meeting and discussion with him about our industry advancements. The fact that I do oil and he still has the upper hand in business aggravates me. I like a good challenge and out of all these good-for-nothing Alphas, he seems to be the only one willin
SIERRA’S P.O.VI woke up to the sound of my alarm. I patted my hand on the nightstand feeling for the phone until I got it. I snoozed it and sat up. Is Courtney up yet? I forced myself out of bed and stood using my walking stick as support. I made my way to my bathroom and got myself ready for the day. I put on something basic for the cold weather and since I won’t spend much time outside.I put on pale tan khaki trousers. I just realized I like wearing tan pants. I added a black long sleeved turtle neck and a checkered long coat. I came out of my room and saw Courtney on the island sipping milk as Aaron was behind the stove making breakfast. “Good morning Sierra.” both of them said and I smiled back and made my way toward them. Aaron looked at me. I knew he was asking if I needed anything. I shook my head signaling that I was okay and he nodded. “Sierra, are you escorting me to school again today?” Courtney asked and I nodded as I gently pinched her cheek. Aaron made Croque madame
“No, I can’t just leave it like this…I’m not mad that she’ll become queen luna, I just don’t want her with that lunatic!” I said as I rubbed my palm on my forehead. Velrod sighed. “Alpha Xavier, when was the last time you’ve heard of a werewolf being mistreated by their mate?” he asked calmly as he looked at me. I looked back at him and sighed then thought about it.“Um..never…” I answered and realized that mates are always soft on each other, no matter the type of person you are, you’re bound to be lenient on your mate. Xander is not a normal werewolf though. I’m genuinely worried for Sierra, I don’t want her to be in the hands of that good-for-nothing scam.“Before you get annoyed and act on impulse, Alpha, have you thought that you should get her side of the story first.” Velrod pointed out and I nodded, but how do I actually get the courage to stand in front of her and talk after all this shit, after three months of shit.“Xavier, sometimes risks need to be taken,” Velrod said an
Today I had a physiotherapy session with Dom, we were going to a pool today. I was in the car with pool clothes on under my huge crochet sweater that went all the way to my knees. I started looking forward to these sessions because they made me feel accomplished each time I took a step toward having my feet back in my control.I looked at the skin on my thigh and noticed the huge pink patch that was once there had faded off more. It was almost all back to normal. I passed my hand over it and let out a breath. “Are you okay?” Aaron asked as he kept his attention on the road still.I nodded and he glanced at me and nodded back. Aaron has become closer to me than before. He’s always making sure I’m okay first before anyone else. At first, I didn’t want him putting me above his needs but after a while, I learned to just accept it and appreciate it.I reached for the pocket of my dress and picked up the card that Xander gave me earlier. It was a business card with his name written on it in
Xavier's P. O. VI gripped my steering wheel as I got only closer to the destination. In all my years of living, nothing has made me more uncomfortable than this. I clenched my jaw and took in a sharp breath before swallowing the thickness in my throat. The building started clearing one by one before the institution stood in solitude in the distance. I pulled into the parking space at the back. Before I got out I counted one, two, and three breaths. I fixed my suit on my body before stepping out of the car one foot after the other. I stood up and looked around as my confidence filled me once again. I hadn't forgotten an inch of this place. The wide glass windows, five-story buildings, and modern architecture. I once worked for it, now it works for me. In a few seconds, a lady who seemed to be in charge came to show me around. I honestly didn't pay an inch of attention. I spent all that time thinking about the first thing I would say to Sierra the moment I see her. 'Calm down man
“Do you speak Spanish?” asked the man who sat across facing me. “Yes, I do,” I answered and he nodded as he leaned back in his chair and crossed his legs. “Sierra Blair, excellent student, photography, botany, and biology, that’s you?.” He asked. How does he know me so well though?“Yes sir, that’s me.”“Leave of absence due to a comma.” He said as he shuffled through the papers on the desk looking for one. “Last week, you sent an email request to resume studies, correct?” he said squinting and looking through the laptop and then at the paper.“Correct.”“Ah, found it. Yes, your request was accepted and you’ll be starting on Tuesday next week. The schedule will be sent on our website as well as the requirement list, yes?” he said and smiled at me. He looked at me as if he knew me already. I mean, he does run this place.“Ms. Blair, what do you want to do after college?” he asked as he leaned back once again.“Wildlife conservation, and after a while, expeditions,” I answered and he no
Sierra’s P.O.VThe wind blew calmly around me as I started to notice the change in the leaf color. Autumn was close. It feels like an eternity since winter was here mostly because I slept through winter and spring last year. Imagine how it would feel going to sleep and waking up when you’re a year older. Not as in sleeping through your birthday but sleeping through a whole year.I grazed my fingers over my cappuccino to get warmth from it. I looked through my bag and got the scrapbook that Courtney made me. I put my cappuccino aside and let out a breath before grazing my fingers over the cover. Decorated with my name and hers. Glitter sprinkles, colorful paper, and letter cutouts decorated it even a few drawings of flowers and hearts.I smiled softly as I decided to give reading it another try. I opened to page one and saw a picture of Courtney smiling with Aaron in the background not knowing what was going on. I smiled at it and read what it said.“11/10/2020. Today, Aaron came to my
