Chapter Forty Four

Pearl's POV:

I watched the rain drops sliding down the glass of the windows as I thought over how crazy the last few months were. First, I got married, then my husband cheated on me, he came begging to me and then suddenly he just went MIA. What did that mean? He didn’t want to try anymore? Not that I really care and I absolutely didn’t want to get back with him. But his absence didn’t set well with me.

Luckily, I was really busy with my career and the upcoming events took up all my time. It's just day like this, where the rain was pouring down on the earth and the few hours of solitude I got, made me think about the person who was supposed to be my better half.

I was by no means ready to forgive him for what he had done. But with the time I got I could understand his actions a little bit more.
