42. HOME AGAIN

By the time they got to Hamburg, it was late in the night. They met Jacob waiting at the police station. 

He ran into his sister's arms as soon as he laid his eyes on her. Jacob held her tightly, unwilling to let go, tears threatening to spill out of his eyes. The witnesses could see his obvious struggle to not cry.

"I'm fine. I'm here." Debby kept on saying, as she stroked his wide back. She took a second to wonder why her brother was seemingly increasing in grith and height. He seemed wider and taller than the last time she saw him.

Or maybe it was just because it's been a short while. 

Debby understood how Jacob felt. Flipping the circumstances, Debby didn't want to picture what she'd do or the kind of frenzy she would go into if anything ever happened to Jacob.
