Giovanni
I pull my head from the water and breath deeply. I watch Gianna and Carlos in one corner laughing. Lynn and her girlfriend Bella are by the pool catching some sun. I don’t know when they became a staple for Sunday dinner, but apparently, they are friends with Gianna and Brandi. Speaking of my woman, I glance at her by the grill in her two-piece, and man, it’s taking everything in me not to kick everybody out so I can spend the day making love to her, but she would be upset if I did. Since it was her idea to have this impromptu barbecue, we are currently throwing. She says it’s because she misses Gianna, but I think she’s trying to take a break from all the sex we’ve been having. For the last two days, we’ve barely left the bed, and right now, I regret agreeing to this party. Our eyes meet, and she smiles before turning back to the grill. She gorgeous can make my tool hard and my heart soft with just one look into those beautiful brown eyes. How did I get so lucky
*****I’m sitting in my office trying to sort through the paperwork. It’s been three days since Brandi opened up to me, as I’ve been doing everything I can to ensure she knows how much I love her. One of those things is visiting her office every day, well that’s more for my benefit than hers. I smile. Just thinking of her makes me so happy. I can’t wait to get this day over. I review the last document, sign in, drop it on the pile, and press the intercom.“Jill, I’m finished.”" Okay, I’ll come to get them.”I stand up and grab my jacket as she walks through the door.“In a rush?”“Yeah, I have plans.”“On the 17th floor?”She asks with a knowing smirk. I had been going up there every chance I get, but after yesterday Brandi banned me from coming until the day was over.“I’m not answering that; send the files,” I reply.“Do you
Gianna Two hours ago I walk out of the closet with a necklace in my hand and head over to Carlos, who is on the bed watching tv. “Babe help me?” “Huh?”He looks up and sees the necklace " Oh, sure thing, babe.” He says. He jumps up from the bed, takes it from my hand, and places it around my neck. He spends a couple of seconds fastening it. “Done.” “Thanks, sweet—-” Chills run through my body as his warm lips touch my neck. “Baby,” I moan softly, wanting to give in but know I can’t. I shift slightly, hoping he stops. “Babe, I have to meet Br
Brandi I pull the phone from my ears after hanging up with him. My heart was in shreds because of how hurt and desperate he sounded. He’s probably thinking I’m running from dealing with him and Gianna, and perhaps if this complication hadn’t shown up, I might have. But he’s here, I can’t believe it, but every time I look to my left, he’s sitting beside me. Cole is the one person I never wanted to see again more than even Colin. I feel a storm of emotions raging through me. I shouldn’t have gotten in the car. I should have to him to get him. I should have run away, but I couldn’t. “Where are you taking me?”My words break the silence in the car. He glances over with that smile that used to bring me so much warmth in that cold house. “You’ll see, we’re almost there.” “You’ve been saying that for the past twenty minutes.”
I stare in horror as he repeats the words. So that is why Cole rarely speaks to me because of Colin. I clench my fist, irritated. Who does he think he is? “Do you understand?” He asks Cole. My angry flares. How dare he think he can tell him not to talk to me? “Answer me!” He shouts, and at that moment, I decide I can no longer stand idly by. I push the door open. Colin’s eyes open wide when he sees me, but he quickly recovers, and his angry scowl turns to a sweet smile. “Brandi, what are you doing in here?” I ignore his question and glare at him. “What are you doing?” I ask. “Oh, nothing. Cole and I were just playing, right Cole..” He grabs him by his shoulder. Cole flinches and averts his eyes. “Right, just playing,” Cole says. “Liar. I heard everything you said. You don’t own me, Colin, so you can’t tell me who to play with. “I grab Cole and try to pull him, but he won’t move. “Co
I awake to the smell of smoke. I jump up from the bed. I have to save mom and dad. I run down the hallway, but the entrance to their wing is already in flames. “Mom! Dad! Mom! Dad! Don’t leave me! Don’t leave me. Take me with you!!!” I cry out, but they don’t answer. I sob. I’m going to be alone. I don’t want to live like this. I don’t want to live with Uncle Theo. It’s better for me to die. I stand and take slow steps towards the fire. Suddenly, I feel myself shaking, and when I open my eyes, Cole is holding me. I look at him, stunned, wondering why he’s here, but feeling overwhelmed, I ignore that and throw my hands around him and cry. This isn’t a dream. My parents are dead, and I might as well be all alone. “Grandma is getting out tomorrow so that you can go home.” Cole says as he comforts me. I exhale, feeling relieved as I bury my face in his chest. Grandma wasn’t my mother and father, but at least I wouldn’t be around Carmen and
Giovanni If you had asked me six months ago whether I think I would fall in love again. I would have said no. I didn’t know love would ever compare to my first, and I was never interested in trying to find one, no matter how much Gianna pressed me to find someone. I was content with my bachelor’s lifestyle and believed it would stay that way. Then she slipped into my bed and my heart. And now I can’t imagine a life without her in it. A life without loving her, kissing her, and making love to her is something I don’t want to experience, not after we’ve found each other. I look down at her as she lies naked beneath me, smiling. I press a kiss on her lips and then another, and another until we find a rhythm, and now we’re making out. I sigh as we melt into each other; nothing can be as perfect as this moment. Once the kiss breaks, I hover over her, my lips barely grazing hers as I stare into her eyes. She meets my gaze with a look filled with both love an
Four days later “Jillian, where are the files for the Levou Property?” I press the receiver and ask as I look through folders on my desk. “On your desk.” “If it were on my desk, I would see it,” I growl, annoyed, still searching for it with my right hand. “I put it on your desk this morning.” She says. “Well, I can’t find it. You know we start construction in a week. I need to review the new blueprint.” I shuffle through papers on my desk, looking for them. She sighs on the receiver, and then a couple of minutes later, my door opens. I look up as she enters my office and heads towards me. She moves a couple of files around. “I’m telling you it’s not there--” I pause as she hands it to me. “Here it is.” “Thank you.” I take it and skip through it. I can feel her eyes on me as I review the blueprint. “If you have something to say. Spit it out. Don’t just stand there.” I have kn
Ring, Ring, Ring. I grab my phone, thinking it’s her calling back, but when I look at the name, it’s William. I frown and pick up. “What?” “Is that how you greet your best friend? I’m hurt.” “Best friend? How many best friends you know trying to sleep with their friend’s woman?” “Quite a few.” “Goodbye.” He laughs. “Chill, I have moved on from Brandi.” “Then why are you calling her about your new spot? “ “Because she is good at what she does, great actually. I wanted a similar feeling, so I called her. You can relax. I know she only wants your old ass.” I frown, not buying his answer but deciding I’ll let it slide since I want to ask him about the search for that woman. “I’ll trust you, but if she tells me otherwise, I’ll shoot you. Now tell me, did you contact her?” He laughs. “Bros before h—you know what, I value my life too much. About the woman, I reached out; that’s why I’m calling. She’s at
