"Excuse me. Who are you?" Juliet is the first to speak. Her voice is tinier than I expected.

"Brynn knows her." Jude chirps in before jerking the arm she’s holding onto. "I thought you said he’s a no-one. What’s he doing at your sleepover then? You invited him?" I can’t tell if she’s teasing Brynn, but said Brynn doesn’t look like she’s taken any pleasure from the sight of me. She looks completely frenzied, very different from the sweet smiling girl she was just with her friends seconds ago.

"He’s a no-one and the last person I’d invite here."

"Looking at him longer now, he’s good-looking. If he’s a no-one, then what is he since he appears to be popping out everywhere you are? A fan?
