"James!" I exclaimed, my voice sharp with urgency as I made a move to run up the stairs.

"Liana, wait!" Zaylen's voice echoed behind me, but I didn't stop.

"Don't go up there alone!" he pleaded, but I shook off his grip and continued, driven by a fierce determination to confront James.

I had an unusual speed all of a sudden, boosted by my werewolf genes, and was immediately on the third floor.

My heart raced as I burst through the door to the third floor, my breath coming in ragged gasps.

The moment I stormed in, ready to confront James, my resolve faltered, and I froze in shock at the sight before me.

"Sara!" I exclaimed, my voice trembling with disbelief and horror.

I saw Sara was tied to a chair and her condition was terrible.

Before I could react, James took advantage of my shock and pushed past me, darting out of the room.

Instinctively, I lunged forward to stop him, but he was already racing up the staircase, his footsteps echoing in the empty building.
